Sidebars_challenge

Each year, one million tons of textile waste goes into the landfill. The purpose of this project is to reexamine the disposability and reusability of clothing by looking at the whole cycle of a piece of clothing from the beginning to the very end.

Sidebars_solution

The lifespan of a t-shirt is lengthened by using sustainable materials from the beginning, providing mending kits, and challenging customers to wear the piece of clothing for as long as they can. When the t-shirt is no longer wearable, the clothing fibers will be recycled into journal paper.
