Enterprise Green Communities Project
Surveys were sent out to tenants. Results showed an awareness around general green issues but there was no understanding that they lived in a Green Community building.
Signage that was easy to read and reproduce off a standard home/office printer was designed to inform tenants of green features in their building and provide green living tips.
Example of a poster that could be easily created from templates provided. This one is to announce the Kick-off event.
Property managers can easily create a poster showcasing candidates for the Green Community Leader.
Green Community Leader toolkit includes a welcome letter, recommendations of challenges, blank poster, invitation/thank you or congratulations cards, buttons, a t-shirt, and a feedback form.
Enterprise Community Partners must have tenant participation in order for a program to be truly effective. How can tenant behavior be changed to conserve energy and recycle when there is a lack of awareness due to insufficient communication between the tenants, building management and Enterprise?
Bridge the communication gap with a sustainability event for tenants. Post signage which explains the benefits the newly installed green features and provides tips for the tenant to use in their own home. Select a "green leader" from each pool of tenants and empower him/her with a toolkit to encourage tenant participation.
