Youth Mentoring

Basic Program Benefits

Schools and organizations participating in the mentoring program will receive these basic benefits, with the mentoring institution taking responsibility for developing, managing and executing the program locally with guidance from Worldstudio.

Support

» Limited guidance from Worldstudio in developing and implementing the program.
» Guidelines and guidance in executing the Create! Don’t Hate. mentoring program.

Promotion

» Ability to submit and showcase socially responsible projects and process on the Design Ignites Change website.
» Promotion of your school with a customized page on the Design Ignites Change website.
» Through the website and PR campaign exposure to business and civic leaders as well as potential employers and project funders.
» Exposure to high school educators and potential students through direct mentoring programs and the Design Ignites Change website.
» Ability to promote program participation and solutions through your own public relation efforts.

Programming

» Opportunity to leverage the project to meet internal and external goals.
» Participation in the Design Ignites Change awards program.
» Inclusion in any conference, book/catalog or exhibit created for the project.


There is no fee for this level of participation.
Note: there is a small administration fee for colleges and universities that do not engage in a mentoring program.


Additional Support

Worldstudio can be contracted for additional support to:

» Supervise and manage the scale, implementation and execution of the project within a participating school and/or in the local community.
» Tailor the project to meet a participating schools particular goals or needs that fall outside of the project scope (i.e., alumni outreach, cross-departmental coordination, etc.)
» Develop additional guidelines that may be particular to a participating school’s situation or local community.
» Collaborate in developing curriculum addressing social change.
» Promote a participating schools particular specific socially-conscience agenda beyond the program scope.

High Schools & Youth Groups

In all cases, a Design Ignites Change project must be initiated by a mentoring organization, that then engages the high school or youth group. If you are a high school or youth group and are interested in participating, contact us at the address below, depending on your location, we may be able to connect you with a local mentoring organization.
