Mohawk Fine Paper worked with Design Ignites Change on the launch of a new line of environmentally sustainable paper, creating the Loop Notebook Project. Twenty-five of the leading letterpress printers were each given a carton of Loop paper with the request to create 50 hand-letterpress notebooks. The notebooks were sold on Mohawk’s Felt & Wire website with the proceeds going to Design Ignites Change.
By aligning with Design Ignites Change, Mohawk was able to:
» Put a new product directly in the hands of market influencers.
» Promote a new product to a variety of their key current and future markets; i.e., creative professionals, educators and students.
» Demonstrate good corporate citizenship.
When Johnson & Johnson wanted to align a launch of custom-designed Band-Aids, designed by noted fashion designer Cynthia Rowley with their corporate social responsibility strategy, they enlisted Design Ignites Change.
Johnson & Johnson sold 3000 boxes of limited-edition Band-Aids in partnership with Cynthia Rowley and the Cooper-Hewitt with proceeds going to Design Ignites Change. The program was promoted during design week, enhancing the brand equity of all three organizations to the creative community and general public.
