How to Participate

Once you decide to participate in Design Ignites Change, you can do it in three easy steps.

1. Get Started and Ignite Change!

Nominate a Design Ignites Change project coordinator in your organization; this person will then be the main point of contact for Worldstudio, the program organizers. Worldstudio can help you determine the optimal way to participate for your particular situation.

2. Formalize Your Participation

Fax or email the 2010 Registration Form to Worldstudio. There are no fees attached and the program is open to the organizations outlined in the Who Can Participate section of the website.

3. Upload Your Information on the Website

» Once you send in the registration form, you will be provided with a log-in and guidelines for the website. You will be managing your own content.

» Upload information about your school and the social-change programs and curriculum that you would like to feature on your “Participant”: http://designigniteschange.org/participants page. If you are participating in the mentoring program, please assist the high school or youth group in uploading their information.

» Creative firms and professional and mentoring organizations will also be represented on the site in the Participants section.

» If you represent a college or university that is new to Design Ignites Change, upload two or three social change projects developed by your students within the last two years to establish your presence on the site and showcase the work of your school.

» Create new pages for projects as they develop over the course of the year. You can manage these pages as the administrator of your school, or you can set up accounts for your students.

Note to students: if you would like your school to participate you must have a teacher, advisor or school administrator register your college or university in the program.

Note to high schools and youth groups: If you are interested in participating, contact Worldstudio, the program organizers. In all cases, a Design Ignites Change project must be initiated by a professional, college or mentoring organization, which then works with the high school or youth group.
