Heavy traffic on breakthejam.org

May 15, 2009

It takes just a few moments of poking around on recently launched breakthejam.org to understand why we should all cut back on driving, especially alone. But the refreshingly simple and snappy awareness campaign website, created by Corcoran College of Art + Design students, as part of the Design Ignites Change program, doesn’t stop there. Break the Jam offers Washington D.C. commuters easy alternatives to gas guzzling, including resources for biking, ride sharing, and public transit.

Interested in joining forces with others who are passionate about reducing congestion in and around the nation’s capital? Break the Jam is holding an environmental demonstration today (Friday, May 15th) during rush hour, between 4PM to 7PM at Farragut North within a 10-foot streetscape.
